Welcoming New Clients to Companion Animal Clinic
We will do our very best to tend to all of your pet’s needs, whether he or she is a new family member or an old companion. We place an emphasis on building a relationship of trust so that you and your pet feel comfortable and secure coming to us for veterinary care.
After scheduling an appointment with one of our expert veterinarians, you will want to prepare for your first visit with us. Please bring the following items with you:
- Papers and health records from your cat or dog’s breeder, shelter or previous veterinarian
- Nutritional information regarding the type and quantity of food you feed your pet
- A stool sample for your puppy or kitten’s first visit
In addition, we ask you to fill and submit our convenient new client form, which shouldn't take more than five minutes to complete.
New environments can be stressful for some animals, so we ask that you keep your canine or feline family member in a carrier or on a leash when you come in. Let us know beforehand if your pet has any behavioral tendencies that we should be aware of. This allows us to take any necessary precautions and keep your pet feeling safe and comfortable.
What to Expect During the First Exam
Your pet’s first exam with us will be very thorough. One of our veterinarians will check all aspects of your pet’s overall health, from head to tail. We will discuss the results of the exam and make any necessary recommendations.
This first visit is the starting point for building a relationship with you and your pet. If there are any concerns or questions you may have regarding your pet’s health and wellness, we can address them and come up with a plan during our first meeting. We don’t waste any time when it comes to your pet’s well-being. Contact us today to schedule your first appointment!
